My name is Francesco Argirò. I’m an enthusiastic and passionate man, as well as a determined, creative and resilient entrepreneur. I am 100% the product of my personal life experience, with all its ups and downs, which cannot be attributed to anyone other than myself.
I am often thought of as being highly empathetic, presumably because of my ability to dialogue with any person on any level, my focus on actively listening to others and my inordinate amount of positive energy and problem-solving skills. I go to great lengths to repay people’s trust in me.

Over the years I have developed ‘antibodies’ that have allowed me to endure and adapt to various kinds and degrees of difficulty, redoubling my efforts rather than giving up, even at the cost of taking risks.
My life has always been guided by strong values that I deeply believe in, such as family, love, faith, caring for myself, my body, mind and soul, and of course the knowledge that I’m special. I come from a family that taught me that hard work pays off. I have built my life with humility and ambition, starting from scratch and maintaining a vision that reaches beyond the stars.
I have always wanted to excel. I continue to nurture all of my many passions and develop my skills with commitment, sacrifice and strength of will. I have always taken risks, and whenever I have failed, I have picked myself up with even greater determination.
I believe that before you can make people appreciate you, you have to be able to appreciate yourself, to find your own sense of purpose, your place in the world. I have worked on myself extensively, creating successful rituals and habits that have enabled me to develop a consistently positive, distinctive and resilient attitude.

My career began in 2001
With a Libyan mother and a father raised in the United States, it was inevitable that I would find a career in an international sector. After finishing high school and leaving university after a year, I began to cut my teeth in the international removals business, in the company headed at that time by my father, and after seven years, I founded my first BLISS Group company, in 2008.
I was 27 years old.
During those years, I worked with a multicultural team and mainly interacted with foreign clients, which was enormously beneficial in terms of enabling me to develop excellent spoken and written English and forge incredible friendships and relationships around the world.
The family business closed in late 2007 and I had to make a quick decision about my future. I would certainly have had plenty of career opportunities abroad and was highly sought after. However, two thoughts kept running through my mind: “What about my family? I have a responsibility towards them” and “What if I try doing things my way now? I’m sure I could be a success!”
The turning point came in 2008
It came about quickly: Starting from zero (actually, below-zero), without any help from the bank, I created a brand in my own image. Something that would leave a mark, help lots of people and generate plenty of buzz within a very short time, all of this involving my closest relatives whom I considered suitable for certain roles and in whom I had immense trust, including my father, an inexhaustible source of inspiration for me, who after a 30-year career had come out of his last experience a little burnt but with enormous dignity and a desire to bounce back.
The first few years were extremely hard. We were perpetually in the red, we had lots of expenses, and I had no choice but to self-finance the business. The most challenging time brought out the best in me. I discovered that I possessed inner resources beyond my expectations. I started thinking outside the box and finding solutions all over the place. And I succeeded. People put their trust in me. My employees and my family, even after months without pay, believed in me, and I’ll always be grateful to them for this. My partners, who I initially struggled to pay, continued to work for me unceasingly. People saw a glint in my eyes and were inspired by it.
From day one of BLISS, my biggest challenge has been to spread the culture of Quality within the organization and ensure this philosophy permeates the thinking, behavior and actions of all our staff so we can pursue excellence as professionals and as people.
I had a strong desire to combine the culture of quality with occupational health and safety because I believe that excellence can only be achieved in stable working conditions that ensure the peace of mind of workers. Last but not least, safeguarding the environment, in other words caring for the well-being of the society in which we live.
I have always held the conviction that although transportation, shipping and logistics companies traditionally generate pollution in the form of CO2 or by disposing plastic materials, with proper care and attention it is possible to create a sustainable business that contributes to a cleaner, more livable planet.
